NEWBORN SESSION
WHEN TO SCHEDULE
The best time for capturing newborn portraits is in the first 4-12 days when your baby has longer periods of deep sleep and is still very flexible. This is the best time to capture those precious curled-up poses.
After 2 weeks babies are a little harder to settle and things like colic and baby acne may be starting to flare up.
As my schedule fills up months in advance, please contact me as soon as possible to ensure availability and to give me your estimated due date.
When you arrive home from the hospital you can contact me to arrange a suitable time and day for your session.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- DETAILED PRE-CONSULTATION is a great time to plan a display goal for your session and make suggestions for clothing and session design. Every newborn session is tailored specifically to you and your baby. We will discuss ideas on style, colors, props, and wardrobe. I will work closely with you and learn from your ideas and expectations to make sure that you will have a relaxed newborn photo session. Once your session is booked, I will send you a Newborn Guide with tips on how to prepare for your baby’s first photo session.
- NEWBORN SESSIONS can take 3 - 4 hours, allowing enough time for feeding and comforting. Each baby is different and your baby's comfort and safety is far more important than achieving a pretty pose.
- PROPS AND STYLING in our studio include all-natural materials for props and accessories that are gentle to your baby`s skin. Each item is laundered after each session with detergents that are free of harsh chemicals.
- PROFESSIONAL RETOUCHING of 20-30 images. Each image is personally and creatively edited and retouched for you to order from.
- POST-SESSION VIEWING & ORDERING APPOINTMENT will be taking place 2 to 3 weeks after your session. You will view your fully edited images and I will help you to choose and finalize your design and product.
- PRINTING of your custom product will be delivered on the highest quality professional paper and canvas.
- A DELIVERY APPOINTMENT
DISPLAYING YOUR ART
I offer high-quality fine art matted prints in beautiful folio boxes, timeless photo albums, gorgeous gallery wraps, and elegant wall portraits for a spectacular presentation of your most cherished memories.
PRICES AND PRODUCTS
Newborn creative session fee– $200
It covers:
- The creative session fee of $200 formally books your portrait appointment and covers up to 4 hours of custom-styled photography.
- Pre-consultation
- Post-processing and preparation of 20-30 images from your session.
- Private viewing & ordering appointments at my studio.
All products and digital files are purchased separately and are not included in the session fee.
Session fee is due at the time of booking to secure your place on our calendar and is non-refundable.
Wall portraits start at $190.
Packages start at $980.
Everything you purchase you also get on the USB.
WHERE YOUR SESSION WILL BE HELD
Your newborn session will take place in my professional home studio located in Allen, TX.
It has a comfortable room to unwind and feed your baby and is also equipped with a changing table stocked with baby products for your convenience. I know how hard it is for the mom to get ready the first weeks after the baby is born so please don't worry about anything, I have everything you might need (except for the milk:) in case you forget something.
